What Is Invisalign?
Invisalign is a revolutionary treatment alternative to braces that eliminates metal wires and brackets entirely, instead relying on a series of clear, re
movable plastic trays – called aligners – to straighten teeth. The aligners fit directly onto the dental arch and are virtually invisible when worn, meaning no one has to know you’re straightening your teeth. Plus, the aligners can easily be popped in and out to eat, drink, brush, and floss – meaning you can still enjoy all your favorite foods and maintaining oral hygiene is as easy as ever!
The Invisalign Process
The process of Invisalign is simple. First, we’ll bring you in for a comprehensive orthodontic evaluation, where Dr. DeLeo will take pictures, measurements, and scans to create a fully realized 3D computer model of your mouth and bite. He’ll then use that model to design a detailed treatment plan to get your teeth into a beautiful new smile, breaking that plan into 2 week long increments. Based on this plan, he’ll have your own set of Invisalign aligners
custom-manufactured to fit your unique teeth and smile. You’ll wear each pair of aligners for about two weeks before moving onto the next, and with each new set of aligners, your teeth will move closer to their final positions. When you’re done, you’ll have a gorgeous new smile that’s yours to keep for the rest of your life!
How Does It Work?

- You’ll take them out only to eat, drink, brush, and floss
- With each new set of aligners, your teeth will move closer to their new positions
- You’ll come in for an appointment every 8 to 10 weeks
- Treatment generally lasts 6-18 months
